General advice in relation to insurance
In order to provide you with the best broking services possible, we need to understand all about you - your personal objectives, insurance requirements, details of your current financial situation and more. In this way, a review of your requirements will result in comprehensive and appropriate advice.
For this reason, only strictly limited general advice will be provided to you over the phone.
Payment terms and application forms
Our normal trading terms are net 14 days. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee cover for clients whose accounts are beyond these limits.
In most cases the insurance company with whom we have placed your policy will grant a 14-day cover note or “hold covered” period from commencement of your insurance policy. This does not apply to some renewals such as Directors' and Officers' Liability, Professional Indemnity and some broadform Liability insurance policies.
Receipt of payment for the policy does not result in a contract of insurance. If proposal forms or application forms are not received at our offices, once the accounts are reconciled, payment will be refunded to you.
If you require these terms to be varied, you must request confirmation in writing. In most cases, we are able to offer alternative payment options if required. Please contact your account manager for further details.
Financial Services Guide (FSG)
Our Financial Services Guide outlines our relationship with our clients and provides details of the services we offer. It also outlines our complaints procedure and what to do in the event of a claim. A copy of our FSG is sent to all clients (both Retail and Wholesale) before the provision of advice.
